We bid on and order items from Japanese auction and shopping sites on your behalf, and deliver them to you!

Your item gets delivered
- or you'll be refunded in full!

If your items don't arrive safely, you'll get your money back. As a new customer, you can try our services with peace of mind.
* Some item categories are not eligible for compensation.

Why use a proxy service?

Most sellers in Japan don't ship overseas, and many don't accept foreign credit cards.
FROM JAPAN acts as your proxy, and buys from these sellers on your behalf. This lets you buy Japan-only products at Japanese prices.

How to use

  1. Search

    Our combined search engine makes it easy to find what you're looking for! Enter a search term into our search bar to browse items from multiple Japanese shopping and auction sites.
    * Enter an item URL or Yahoo! Auctions auction ID into the search bar to go directly to the product page.

  2. Bid / Order

    Once you find the items you're looking for, add them to your shopping cart.

  3. Charge 1 - Pay for your items

    Choose your payment method and pay for your items.

  4. Item arrives at our distribution center

    Items can be stored for free up to 45 days.

  5. Shipping Instructions

    Instruct your items for shipment.
    * Combine orders from different sellers in a single package for free!

  6. Charge 2 - Pay for shipping and other fees

    After your item(s) are delivered to our distribution center, we'll be able to determine the cost of international shipping. You'll pay for international shipping, plan fee, and any other costs incurred (domestic shipping fees, payment fees, etc) with your Charge 2 payment.

  7. Delivery

    Shipments are dispatched within 2 business days of your completed Charge 2 payment, excluding peak seasons. The delivery time for a shipment depends on the destination and the shipping method selected.

    I have only ordered 3 times with From Japan. All expensive items. First was a huge Pioneer power amp that weighed over 70lbs when packed. I was initially very worried about using them for such a huge and delicate item. I got the item within a week after From Japan shipped it. I was very surprised at how well packed it was. The best packing job I seen from a business. I was extremely happy with the service, so much so, I ordered a vintage Pioneer tape deck. It was shipped fast, packed extremely well but got damaged a bit from shipping and the item didn't fully function the way it should. It took a week or 2 of emailing back and forth, but was given a full refund ( shipping charges as well ) in the form of FJ points. Again I was extremely happy with the way they took care of me. I then bought a Pioneer vintage CD player. Came quick, packed extremely well and no issues. From experience I can honestly highly recommend them.

    The presentation is more professional than other proxy services, and the process is much smoother. It's good to have shipping options, but EMS is really the only good balance between speed and cost. Shipping and handling costs and fees are a little lower than the other service I've used, which was the main factor behind switching.
    My main complaint would be the inconvenient process of ordering multiple items; it would be much easier to be able to add multiple items to a single order, rather than making several different orders.
